TV Industry 2 : Stacey Dooley Investigates ( selling drugs online)

In preparation for the mock exam  on Monday February 5  ( Sports Hall 9am ) , complete analysis of 
     case study 2 ( Stacey Dooley Investigates ) and case study 3 ( your choice of reality/competition show ) looking at all of the following information.






You should be focusing especially on Audiences and Industry for your Television case studies , as your previous  Film Industry case studies ( Kingsman, Skyfall, Moonlight) were focused on Text elements such as genre , represention of gender and technical codes.


The mock exam will ask for  two detailed responses about Text and Audience /Industry , referring to both Film and Television , using all six of  the case studies you will have studied so far.

A2 Media - MS4 Televison Industry (Case Studies)

As previously discussed it is now time to cover the Television Industry for MS4 looking at TEXT / INDUSTRY / AUDIENCE.

We will be exploring which category these selected TV shows are, why they have been created and for what audience. We will be looking at how successful they are and why?

The case studies that we have selected are:-

CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER (2018)


I'M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HEAR (2017)


You will need to find and watch at least the first and last episodes of the selected TV shows. It is expected that you will start to research the creators of the show the contestants or participants of the shows and suggest reasons for them entering the show. Always look for reports or stories about the show, each one of these TV shows generally involves some form of controversy, find out what it is or was and what the outcome of its discovery was. 

You should start to build a portfolio of your findings and display them on your blog!


The TV Industry will be one of the two topics you are expected to discuss in your upcoming Mock Exam in the week commencing Monday 5th February.

How time flies when your having fun!
It is that time of the year when we start thinking about exams in earnest. 
Your first MOCK EXAM will take place the week commencing Monday 5th February.

You will be expected to prepare to answer 2 of the 3 questions from the paper supplied.


Past papers can be found on the WJEC / EDUQAS site and as discussed any of you that wish to attempt questions at any time and need them assessed we are happy to facilitated that.
